Anthems from the Pleasure Park

Here is an album of a stunning beauty. And time has come for maturity… Backworld finally found their true personality, avoiding at the same time becoming an ersatz of Douglas Pearce's project. This is, in my point of view, the best out of the three, although "Isles of the Blest" was of a high quality.

An airy and graceful variety of acoustic instruments, dulcimer, flute, clarinet, cello, combined with strong melodies and sampled soundscapes. Nature is prevailing, like a long walk through the shadow of ancient trees, once in autumn, once in the spring time, death and rebirth. Between Current 93 and Nature & Organization. Amongst the guests are Jarboe, Michael Moynihan and Annabel Lee, following Joseph Budenholzer's psychedelic and apocalyptic visions.
A must !
