'Hail! Hail! Hail!' on the A-side is presented as a teaser for the forthcoming album 'Sonnenheim', but those expecting a
repeat of Kim Larson's trademark softly strummed acoustic guitar and whispered vocals will be in for a surprise. This
electronic song combines repetitive middle-eastern melodies with tablas, chimes and spoken words to build up a mysterious,
almost hypnotic atmosphere.
These two good songs are just a short appetiser for the much-anticipated new album, but it's already enough to prove that
Kim Larson is capable of reinventing his music.

The flip side is a reinterpretation of 'Benediction/Malediction', originally performed by Ian Read. For this version,
Kim Larsen was assisted by the members of Forseti and Sonne Hagal, although it is impossible to distinguish what each of
them has actually contributed to the track. Set to an electronic ritual-sounding dirge, several layers of spoken and
whispered voices declaim Gwydion's original text with a mantra-like effect to create a strong feeling of sinister mysticism.
